Apple is all set to launch its top-tier fitness program, Apple Fitness Plus, in India. The service will start on December 15. Apple claims that this is the largest rollout of Fitness Plus since it began five years ago, expanding access to users in 49 different countries and regions globally. Apple Fitness Plus is made to work smoothly with Apple devices, allowing users in India to monitor their workouts and health activities with an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3, or Apple TV. Fitness Plus takes advantage of Apple device features, including heart rate monitoring through AirPods Pro 3 and Powerbeats Pro 2, along with statistics like calories burned and Activity ring progress. Subscribers to Apple Fitness Plus in India will have access to 12 various workout categories such as Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation, with workouts lasting from five to 45 minutes. Users can customize their workout routines with Custom Plans to create schedules based on their favorite activities, trainers, and music. The Burn Bar feature allows users to measure their efforts against others, while personalized progress tracking is offered through compatible Apple devices.

The Fitness Plus experience includes music integration with Apple Music, presenting styles like Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop/R&B, Latin Grooves, and a fresh K-Pop selection. The Artist Spotlight series provides workouts paired with music from well-known artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay. These features are designed to enhance motivation and involvement among a wide range of users. Other motivational features in Fitness Plus consist of Stay Consistent and Push Further plans, along with Get Started routines for beginners. The Time to Walk audio series shares stories and songs from famous individuals to inspire walking, while curated Collections assist users in finding themed workouts like Run Your First 5K or Pilates for More Than Your Core. Users can also delve into 12 unique meditation themes aimed at fostering mindfulness and relaxation. Apple Fitness Plus will be accessible in India from December 15. The subscription costs Rs 149 per month or Rs 999 per year. You can share this plan with up to five other family members. The service is available to users with compatible Apple devices—specifically, an iPhone 8 or newer running iOS 16.1 or a higher version, or an Apple Watch Series 3 and later paired with an iPhone 6s or later operating on iOS 14.3 or newer.

As part of the launch, customers who buy an eligible Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 from Apple or authorized retailers will receive three months of Apple Fitness Plus at no additional charge.
