Motorola is likely getting ready to release another phone, as a new device showed up on Geekbench. This phone might have a new Snapdragon 7 series chip from Qualcomm. It also could come with 16GB of RAM and Android 16. Another Motorola phone, the Moto G100s, was also recently seen on the same site with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip. The new Motorola phone, model XT2603-1, appeared on Geekbench with an octa-core Qualcomm chip that has two powerful cores and six less powerful cores. While the phone's name isn't known, a tech blogger suggests it might use a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chip, which Qualcomm hasn't released yet.
This unannounced Motorola phone scored 2,636 in single-core tests and 7,475 in multi-core tests. It had about 15GB of RAM, which will probably be sold as 16GB. The phone tested was using Android 16.
The processor can reach a speed of 3.65GHz. Its six less powerful cores can run at a basic speed of 3.32GHz. More information about the phone, such as its name, cost, release date, specs, and functions, should come out in the next few months. Qualcomm currently has almost 22 processors in its Snapdragon 7 series, with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 being the newest. The company might skip a generation and go straight to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 processor, since the previous one was the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. This news comes about a week after a device thought to be the Moto G100s was seen on Geekbench, using a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip and Android 16. That phone, model number XT2537-4, scored 1,018 points for single-core tasks and 2,893 for multi-core tasks.
