The International Cricket Council (ICC) is said to provide prizes for the teams that took part in the recently finished ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which was shared by India and Sri Lanka. A total of 20 teams joined the competition, aiming to win the trophy, but India showed their skill by achieving their second win in a row, becoming the first team ever to claim three T20 World Cups. For their hard work, the team led by Suryakumar Yadav will receive a large cash reward. It is reported that the ICC set aside an overall prize pool of USD 11 million (around Rs 101 crore) for the event, with each team expected to get at least USD 112,500 (about Rs 1.03 crore). According to various sources, India will be awarded USD 2.34 million (approximately Rs 21.5 crore). On the other hand, the New Zealand cricket team, who finished second, will receive USD 1.17 million (roughly Rs 10.75 crore).

Entering the tournament, India was seen as a favorite to win. However, their initial games – even with some impressive moments – raised a few concerns. Their journey started with a messy victory over the United States national cricket team, followed by a win against Namibia national cricket team. Still, neither of these games could be called strong performances. India then showcased their real capability with a solid win over the Pakistan national cricket team in Colombo, allowing them to advance to the Super 8 stage. The co-hosts managed to win all four of their initial games but faced a tough loss against the South Africa national cricket team in their first Super 8 match. This defeat put them in a position where they had to win against the Zimbabwe national cricket team and the West Indies cricket team. India succeeded in this challenge and arranged a semi-final match with the England cricket team.

The semi-final at Wankhede Stadium was filled with runs, where India remained calm and secured a narrow seven-run win to reach the final. In the championship match, a fantastic all-around effort helped them achieve a huge 96-run victory.
